About Research Austria

Networking research companies creates "centers of excellence" throughout Europe, enabling the EU to compete at the forefront of global competition.

This concept also requires Austria to pool its strengths in order to play an important role in this "network of the best." The central task of FORSCHUNG AUSTRIA is therefore to organize the concentration of forces within the non-university research landscape and to strengthen the competencies of its member companies.

  • FORSCHUNG AUSTRIA is the umbrella organization for non-university, application-oriented, business-related research and technological development in Austria.
  • FORSCHUNG AUSTRIA is the technology policy front organization and interest group for non-university research.
  • FORSCHUNG AUSTRIA is the most important Austrian association for application-oriented and business-oriented research.
  • The primary goal of FORSCHUNG AUSTRIA is to remove barriers to companies entering the field of research and technological development.
  • Cooperation at the state level is to be promoted.

The objectives of FORSCHUNG AUSTRIA

  • Further development of FORSCHUNG AUSTRIA into an instrument for cooperation between the federal government and the provinces in the field of application-oriented research and technology development.
